Headline: Integration assistance for disabled people: number of recipients up 2.7% in 2015

WIESBADEN – In 2015, roughly 883,000 people in Germany received integration assistance for disabled people in accordance with the German Social Code, Book XII, Chapter 6 (SGB XII). The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the number of recipients rose by 2.7% compared with 2014. The purpose of integration assistance is to prevent disabilities in cases where they are about to develop, cure or relieve existing disabilities, eliminate or alleviate their consequences and integrate people with disabilities into society.
