WIESBADEN – At the end of 2015, approximately 460,000 households in Germany received housing allowance. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this represented 1.1% of all households. The number of recipient households decreased by roughly 19% compared with 2014, when about 565,000 households received housing allowance (1.4% of all households).
