Headline: 25% more young people placed in residential care in 2015

WIESBADEN – In 2015, 49.500 children, young people and young adults were placed in residential care or in supported housing. As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), this was an increase of 25% from a year earlier. The relevant number of boys and young men rose by 46% to 32,800.
