Headline: Wholesale prices in 2016: –1.0% on 2015

WIESBADEN – The index of selling prices in wholesale trade was down 1.0% on an annual average in 2016 from the preceding year, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). Compared with December 2015, the index increased by 2.8% in December 2016. In November 2016 the annual rate of change was +0.8% and in October 2016 it was +0.5%, respectively. 

Compared with November 2016 the index of wholesale prices rose by 1.2% in December 2016.
