Headline: Public service in 2017: 4.1% more pensioners at Länder level

WIESBADEN – On 1 January 2017, roughly 712,000 public service pensioners were counted at Länder level. Based on provisional figures from the statistics of public service pensioners, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the number of former public officials at Länder level increased by 4.1% from a year earlier.
