Headline: Tax paid on more cigarettes in the second quarter of 2017

WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the quantity of cigarettes on which tax was paid in Germany increased by 10.9% in the second quarter of 2017 compared with the same quarter a year earlier. The total value of tobacco products in terms of retail prices on which tax was paid in Germany in the second quarter of 2017 amounted to 6.6 billion euros.
