WIESBADEN – Regarding refrigerant use, enterprises in Germany used a total of 6,730 tonnes of substances classified as climate-relevant gases in 2016, which was a decline of 405 tonnes compared with 2015. To coincide with the World Climate Conference currently taking place in Bonn, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that climate-damaging medium to long-term emissions will decline by roughly 1.5 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents. The refrigerant mainly used was “R 134a” (just over 4,100 tonnes).
